How much is a taxi or limousine from the airport to your place?
The last time we checked, the cost was about $40 plus tip. There are flat-rate taxis from the airport. Before getting into the car ask the fare. Tell the driver your destination is south-east of Yonge and Sheppard.

For full travel-related information check our location page.
Is your home wheelchair accessible?
At the front of our house there are 6 steps. Once inside everything is on one level except the apartment, which is on the lower level.
Can we bring our bikes?
Certainly bring your bikes. Toronto has many enjoyable bike trails around the city that we can point out to you. Space permitting, you can keep your bikes in our garage or shed or back yard while you are here.
What is Toronto weather like in…?
Toronto has hot humid summers, beautiful spring and fall, and a mild winter when daytime temperatures are often just a few degrees below the freezing mark. For more weather details check here.
We don’t have winter clothes. What should we do if we are visiting in winter?
If your stay is relatively short you can likely survive with several layers of sweaters. If your stay will be longer you can get modestly priced winter clothing at our nearby Winners store where you could probably be reasonably outfitted for $200-$300.
How expensive are international phone calls from Canada?
You can buy special phone cards at the convenience stores for $5 or $10 for international calling. With these cards the cost can be as low as 3 cents per minute to the USA or up to 20 cents per minute for less common destinations. We can help you get a phone card once you arrive.
